Cheltenham Festival Day 4 Horse Racing Selections Including Gold Cup – Friday March 13, 2026

Good morning – we’ve finally made it to the final day of Cheltenham and the blue ribbon event of the Gold Cup!

So far, we’ve had a very successful day 1 and yesterday, we cleaned up with antepost pick Supremely West winning at 8/1 on antepost and Wodhooh doing the business in the mares’ hurdle. Bob Olinger also picked up a nice place. We were a tad unlucky with the rest – not least, JPR One who ran a stonker and narrowly came up short in 4th.

Ok, enough of that, and let’s move on to day 4…

Horse Racing Selections – Friday March 13

Cheltenham Festival – Day 4

1.20 Triumph

Already selected – Minella Study at 7/1 each way (now as short as 11/2)

Let’s also put Proactif on at 11/2 each way with 4 places – this may be where Mark Walsh comes to the fore in J P McManus colours.

2.00 County

Already selected – Krihsma at 7/1 each way NRNB but no longer running…

Two replacements – Karbau under Paul Townend has a great chance at 9/2 with 6 places each way and at lomnger odds Tellherthename at 14/1 with 6 places looks a cracking play!

2.40 Mares’ Chase

Already selected – Dinoblue at 6/4 antepost but now 2/1 so worth another half a go…

I don’t like the drift on Dinoblue and this is a race where a longer-odds chance could sneak in. I do like the look of Darragh O’Keefe and July Flower and note the odds are shortening – let’s jump on now at 9/1 if we can with each way terms.

3.20 Albert Bartlett

Already selected – Thedeviluno at 4/1 win antepost – on the drift and out to 7/1 so let’s grab another half a pop…

I can’t shake off a feeling about Hipop De Loire – crazy horse and crazy selection perhaps. 28/1 and 4 places can be found if you look (18/1 in some spots so look about)…

4.00 The Gold Cup

The big one so put it in bold. We already selected two horses antepost NRNB that are no longer involved so a great start! Fact to File and Galopin Des Champs!!

So two more tries here – we just can’t ignore The Jukebox Man and his amazing performance in the King George at Christmas. Strangely on the drift so we have to grab a piece at 7/2 now.

My second pick is Envoi Allen at a mighty 40/1 as this race may just suit and the odds seem out of whack. Go each way and if you are lucky enough to find 4 places with the likes of Sky, grab that…

4.40 Hunters’ Chase

Two races left and we already selected Wonderwall at 9/2 here – on the drift here so maybe put another half on each way at 8/1.

A second pick is Panda Boy who looks a strong selection but keep it each way and 5/1 with 4 places.

5.20 Martin Pipe

Already selected Wendrock at 16/1 each way, which looks solid as now down to 11/1 and 10/1 in places.

The second pick for the finale is Kel Historie – the booking of Michael Kenneally is a strong positive and we should take 4/1 (each way to be safe with 5 places).

Ok, that’s the lot – have a wonderful day and end to the Cheltenham Festival.

We’ll be back tomorrow with the Midlands National and look ahead to Aintree, the Grand National and start of the flat season. Be responsible, 18+.

Cheltenham Festival Day 3 Horse Racing Selections – Thursday March 12, 2026

Good morning Cheltenham Festival horse racing lovers!

After an amazing day 1 where everything was landing, we were brought back down to earth a little yesterday. Seconditis kicked in with Act of Innocence and Final Demand both finishing runners-up with Vanillier also in the top 3. Majborough was the surprise of the festival by jumping like a fridge and the least said about the last two races, the better!

The good thing is we can go again today and I’m more confident about day 3 so let’s go…

Horse Racing Selections – March 11

Cheltenham Festival – Day 3

1.20 Mares’ Novices

Already selected Bambino Fever – which can now be found at Evens if you fancy another half go. I think Bambino is vulnerable so let’s go with an each-way selection as well. I like James Bowen, who is having a great festival, on Carrigmoornaspruce – if you can get 4 places each way (widely available), take the 8/1!

2.00 Jack Richards

Already selected Jordans Cross at 10/1 as our antepost each way – now shortened to 4/1 favourite so fingers crossed, this is a good sign. We should have a back-up plan – I like the form of Rebecca Curtis’s Star Wars-inspired horse Ben Solo which is well under the radar. At 28/1 and 5 places each way, worth a play – even if small.

2.40 Mares’ Hurdle

This looks a poor race this year without Lossiemouth – anyway, it’s happening and we already have Wodhooh selected at 5/4 at antepost (now Evens). I’m loath to select something else but Jade de Grugy under the in-form Paul Townend can’t be ignored. At 2/1, I’d say this one may shorten and even go off favourite by 2.40 so let’s hedge…

3.20 Stayers’ Hurdle

A chess match of a puzzle this one – anyone can win it! We’re on Honesty Policy at 4/1 – since drifted to 9/1. I’d advice going again here, if you can, as I’m a tad confused but perhaps there’s an issue we are not aware of. We will play a second horse for insurance and that’s Bob Olinger at 8/1 each way. Why? Bob is a Cheltenham winner and veteran and if this race is slow and complicated, he has the ability to pick up the pieces. He’s done it before and is a legend around these parts. Would be a shame if he won and we were not involved!

4.00 Ryanair Chase

We have already selected Jonbon (shortened back to 4/1). If Jonbon can finally crack Cheltenham like he does every other track, he will have a great chance to get one over the mighty Fact to File, who is drifting in the market. We must take on Fact to File here – not least as prominent gambling firms are boosting his price.

A decent each way chance is JPR One, as selected before, which is currently 40/1 and could be value here.

4.40 Pertemps

We previously selected Supremely West at 8/1(!) – now as short as 7/2 so well done, to us! Even more celebrations if he wins!

The insurance pick is Bold Endeavour at 7/1 each way with 6 places. I like the James Bowen angle and he’s won in a range of tough races.

5.20 Kim Muir

We already have Jeriko Du Reponet at 4/1 with our anteposts. You can get 9/2 this morning if you fancy another 1/2 a pop.

The second pick here is Waterford Whispers at 4/1 – a win bet as I think one of these two horses will take this one for Mr J P McManus on his birthday week!

That’s your lot – no craziness with the selections there as I want to ensure we get good stuff back today after a relatively poor day 2!

Be sensible and see you on the other side – have fun. 18+ etc.

*Don’t forget to sign your email up on the right hand side of the twistertipster.com blog to get alerts as soon as this page is published so you never miss a selection. After Cheltenham, we will have picks for the Aintree festival including the Grand National coming up and we look forward to the start of the British and Irish flat season!

Cheltenham Festival Day 2 Horse Racing Selections – Wednesday March 11, 2026

Good morning – Cheltenham horse racing fans… boom!

Yesterday, we had an amazing FOUR winners from our selections as Old Park Star, Saratoga, Lossemouth and Madara all did the business for us! We also had an array of very good places via Sober Glory, Quebecois, Downmexicoway and Iceberg Theory. A monumental day!

Can we repeat? Let’s try and go again!!

Horse Racing Selections – March 11

Cheltenham Festival – Day 2

1.20 Turners

Already selected Mighty Park who was re-routed to the Supreme yesterday – NRNB so no big deal! A couple of replacement picks… Sober 7/1 each way at 4 places looks a pretty solid Mullins horse to go well – and at given Old Park Star’s performance, let’s go with the same owners and Act of Innocence at 10/1 for 4 places each way.

2.00 Browns

Already selected Final Demand antepost at 7/2 but this can now be found at 5/1 – I still like the selection so may be worth adding another 1/2 go given the slight drift. This may be linked to some social media shannagians, which is not worth going into here as not worth my time!

It’s wise to have a second selection in this one and Koktail Divin looks pretty solid given the recent form – you can get 15/2 each way with 4 places, which looks decent to me.

2.40 Coral Cup

The Coral Cup – now known by another name… I selected I Started A Joke but the horse is no longer running – again no tears as NRNB. Momentum is growing for Puturhandstogether and, despite a 6th last time out, this could be a great opportunity – at 9/1 with 6 places each way, we should select. I also like Iberico Lord and think he’s due another big ride after winning at 22/1 at Kempton back in January – that performance was immense and we shouldn’t ignore it at 10/1 here with 6 places each way.

3.20 Crosscountry

This is always a crazy race for me where anything can happen given he obstacles involved. We shouldn’t be going to busy ourselves, because of it. Some of those at the top of the market are carrying a fair whack of weight so let’s swerve them! Vanillier was the antepost pick at 7/1 but now drifted a little to 8 or 9/1 – may be worth an extra half a go to make up. the one that catches my eye is Fakir Doudairies and the price was 25/1 on Monday – now down to 14/1 with 4 places. One to have on the back-burner each way…

4.00 Champion Chase

Majborough was selected as the antepost a while ago at 13/8 and is now as short as 4/5 in places. This is Majborough’s race to lose, in my opinion – should just win. For a big of fun, and at a very low level, I have sided with Brookie at 125/1? Why? Well, Sam Twiston-Davies rides and seemed quite chippy about him. It’s a fun one – main pick is Majborough still!

4.40 Grand Annual

We have Inthepocket in the pocket at 14/1 each way as an antepost – support has come in for this one and it is not 9/1. Let’s add another – as I was talking about Sam Twiston-Davies, his horse here certainly has a decent chance. Jour Devasion and 20/1 each way with 5 places…

5.20 Champions Bumper

The antepost pick was Quiryn at 12/1 each way – with a reasoning it would certainly shorten in pricce (now 15/2 – reasoning confirmed)! The second pick is Love Sign D’aunou as Patrick Mullins is riding and is full of confidence. You can get 9/2 each way with 4 places if you look about – grab it if you can…

That’s your lot – good luck and let’s grab it… 18+, be responsible

Cheltenham Festival Day 1 Horse Racing Selections – Tuesday March 10, 2026

Good morning! We’ve made it to the first day of the Cheltenham Festival! Seasons greetings to those that celebrate…

I have already put up antepost selections for each of the races today and will quote the older prices – I will also select other horses or re-advise on a selection.

Let’s go and good luck!

Horse Racing Selections

Cheltenham Festival, Day 1 – March 10

1.20 Supreme Novices’ Hurdle

Already advised Old Park Star at 2/1 win (can get at 5/2 today!)

I have a suspicion that Sober Glory may perform well so also advise as a an each way selection at 3 places 15/2

2.00 Arkle Chase

Already advised Kopek Des Bordes at 3/1 win (now favourite at 6/4)

I think it would be wise to hedge and put on Lulamba if you can as either horse will have a good shout at this race – Lulamba 13/8 win

2.40 Fred Winter

Already advised Saratoga at 11/2 win (drifted out to 9/1 since)

I’m not happy with how our selection has drifted since so let’s play another one here – Mustang Du Breuil looks impressive and I expect a big race 7/1 with 6 places each way

3.20 Ultima

Already advised Quebecois at 12/1 each way (now 10/1 with 5 places)

I still think we have a solid pick but I think one of the JP McManus horses will likely have a say – let’s avoid the short-priced favourite and go for Iroko at 7/1 for 6 places each way

4.00 Champion Hurdle

Already advised Constitution Hill NRNB so will have to find another selection

A tricky race but I think this is Lossiemouth‘s time to finally shine away from the mare’s race – so lets go for her at 15/8 win, which seems very reasonable

4.40 Plate

Already advised Madara at 5/1 win and now the favourite at 4/1

There’s a lot of buzz for Downmexicoway with Darragh O’Keeffe on board and the price has been dropping so let’s jump on at 17/2 each way with 5 places

5.20 National Hunt

Our pick Backmersackme at 9/2 remains the favourite at a similar price

Let’s hedge though and throw in Iceberg Theory at 11/2 with 5 places each way – won last twice and looks solid under Conor Stone-Walsh

Ok, that’s your lot! Good luck and don’t go too crazy as we have three days after this!

18+, be responsible

Horse Racing Selections Including Cheltenham Festival – Friday March 6, 2026

Good afternoon – slightly later than usual but hopefully, worth the wait!

Finally, we move to day 4 of the festival and the last round of anteposts. This will ensure we have a solid foundation of decent bets covering every race heading into next week. More bets will be put up as we get to the event to hopefully, increase our chances of success!

Let’s go…

Horse Racing Selections – March 6

Cheltenham Festival – Anteposts

Day 4 (All NRNB!)

Triumph Hurdle Minella Study 7/1 each way

County Hurdle Khrisma 7/1 each way

Albert Bartlett Thedeviluno 4/1 win

Gold Cup Fact to File 6/1 win and Galopin Des Champs 15/2 win

Hunters Chase Wonderwall 9/2 win

Martin Pipe Wendrock 16/1 each way

Ok, that’s every race covered! Don’t go crazy – small stakes – we can top up or add more into the mix during the festival itself. There will be more places up for grabs then and we will know all of the runners – good luck and enjoy!

18+, be responsible

Stayers’ Hurdle Already selected Honesty Policy (4/1 at the moment)
