We are going to put a fiver to win on each of these and, with any luck, we will have more than £20 at the end of the day! I am going to quote Betfair Exchange odds but you can also put these on with bookmakers…
4.55 Thirsk Isle of Dreams 5.3 on Betfair Exchange – Win Bet £5
Isle of Dreams has won four times out of six on this surface and beat 14 rivals over this course and distance back in April. Last raced in early June when struggled on good to firm but can come good at Thirsk today in a 6f handicap on softer ground. Run This Way will be the major danger though and has been well backed.

7.15 York Sparks Fly 6.4 on Betfair Exchange – Win Bet £5
This 3-year-old filly has a rating of 98 and great odds of 5/1 with 6.4 on the exchange. She is proven over this distance with a win and second from two starts. She steps up in class here but has been impressive winning her last two starts at Ayr by open lengths. Her jockey, Laura Pearson, has also been getting results.
7.50 York Box to Box 4.5 on Betfair Exchange – Win Bet £5
This 4-year-old gelding is lightly raced, with just 14 starts. He has a rating of 88 and odds of 4.5. He won 2 starts back over this distance at Chester. He has placed in 3 of 6 starts this year and has an in-form jockey booking.
8.25 Chepstow Sympathise 2.68 on Betfair Exchange – Win Bet £5
This 5-year-old mare has a rating of 58 and will likely go off favourite. She has won over this distance two back and finished second last out at Ffos Las. She is versatile ground-wise and is reunited with a jockey that has won on her before. Her current form marks her as the one to beat.
So we have bet a total of £20 – fingers crossed that we finish the day with more than £20 in the bank! Argh! Let’s have a bit of fun!
