Cheltenham Festival Day 1 Horse Racing Selections – Tuesday March 10, 2026

Good morning! We’ve made it to the first day of the Cheltenham Festival! Seasons greetings to those that celebrate…

I have already put up antepost selections for each of the races today and will quote the older prices – I will also select other horses or re-advise on a selection.

Let’s go and good luck!

Horse Racing Selections

Cheltenham Festival, Day 1 – March 10

1.20 Supreme Novices’ Hurdle

Already advised Old Park Star at 2/1 win (can get at 5/2 today!)

I have a suspicion that Sober Glory may perform well so also advise as a an each way selection at 3 places 15/2

2.00 Arkle Chase

Already advised Kopek Des Bordes at 3/1 win (now favourite at 6/4)

I think it would be wise to hedge and put on Lulamba if you can as either horse will have a good shout at this race – Lulamba 13/8 win

2.40 Fred Winter

Already advised Saratoga at 11/2 win (drifted out to 9/1 since)

I’m not happy with how our selection has drifted since so let’s play another one here – Mustang Du Breuil looks impressive and I expect a big race 7/1 with 6 places each way

3.20 Ultima

Already advised Quebecois at 12/1 each way (now 10/1 with 5 places)

I still think we have a solid pick but I think one of the JP McManus horses will likely have a say – let’s avoid the short-priced favourite and go for Iroko at 7/1 for 6 places each way

4.00 Champion Hurdle

Already advised Constitution Hill NRNB so will have to find another selection

A tricky race but I think this is Lossiemouth‘s time to finally shine away from the mare’s race – so lets go for her at 15/8 win, which seems very reasonable

4.40 Plate

Already advised Madara at 5/1 win and now the favourite at 4/1

There’s a lot of buzz for Downmexicoway with Darragh O’Keeffe on board and the price has been dropping so let’s jump on at 17/2 each way with 5 places

5.20 National Hunt

Our pick Backmersackme at 9/2 remains the favourite at a similar price

Let’s hedge though and throw in Iceberg Theory at 11/2 with 5 places each way – won last twice and looks solid under Conor Stone-Walsh

Ok, that’s your lot! Good luck and don’t go too crazy as we have three days after this!

Horse Racing Selection – Wednesday February 18, 2026

Good afternoon – as promised, here is another antepost selection for Cheltenham Festival. Ensure that you go with a NRNB pick – just in case the horse doesn’t run.

Horse Racing Selection – February 18

Cheltenham Festival – Antepost

Champion Bumper – Quiryn 12/1 each way

Mullins-trained chance from France who impressed at Naas last month – won by nine lengths! Very fast and wouldn’t be surprised if bolts up at Cheltenham. Was 16/1 a couple of days ago, word may be getting around, so we had better jump on now while still a nice price and NRNB…

Horse Racing Selections – Sunday February 15, 2026

Good morning – we had a lot of winners yesterday! Boom! Remember these are free selections – I have never charged. The Bluesman, Dalston Lad and Heathcliff! Jipcot also placed. I’m aware of some tipsters charging £30-50 a month and they haven’t had 3 good winners since the start of the year! You all know who I mean 😉

Please show your support by signing up for regular selections at twistertipster.com then you will get alerts and never miss a winner or a good price! Many of my winning picks go off at a shorter price after selection so keep that in mind!

Ok, plenty of Irish stuff today and I am going to stay clear as I don’t trust it – to be honest.

I am going to offer another Cheltenham play given we are not far away from the festival…

Horse Racing Selections – February 15

Cheltenham Festival – Antepost NRNB

Champion Chase

Majborough 13/8 win

Rationale: I think this may be Mullins’ best play of the festival and having read his recent stable tour review in the Racing Post, I think we need to put some initial change on this horse. The odds could be better but with NRNB we have a bit of insurance. I wouldn’t be surprised if Majborough goes off evens or odds on so there could be value. You may want to consider a 3 unit move here and/or add to a decent multiple.

Multiple Option

A nice NRNB multiple…

Majborough, Old Park Star for the Supreme Novices, Lossiemouth for the mares hurdle and Narciso Has for the triumph hurdle.

Currently 37/1 with one bookie!! I’d get moving as that won’t last! Ensure you get NRNB.

Horse Racing Selection – Friday February 6, 2026

Good afternoon – this is the last Cheltenham Festival antepost pick for a few days as I’ll return to selecting regular horses tomorrow while we have half-decent racing back. Anyway, here’s another one…

Horse Racing Selection – February 6

Cheltenham Festival – Antepost

Stayers’ Hurdle

Honesty Policy (NRNB) 7/2 win

Horse Racing Selection – Thursday February 5, 2026

Good morning – while horse racing is fairly poor during the week, let’s look for another Cheltenham antepost so we can build up an arsenal of picks ahead of the main jumps horse racing meeting of the year.

Horse Racing Selection – February 5

Cheltenham Festival – Antepost (NRNB)

Arkle Chase

Kopek Des Bordes 3/1 win

My reasoning is this horse avoided DRF so remains fresh and its rivals ran themselves ragged at Leopardstown. This leaves the door ajar for Kopek to head to Cheltenham to run a decent race…

Horse Racing Selection – Wednesday February 4, 2026

Good morning – I am going to start posting antepost (non runner, no play selections) for the Cheltenham Festival. One for today…

Horse Racing Selection – February 4

Cheltenham – Antepost (NRNB)

Ryanair Chase – Jonbon 5/1

I think both Fact to File and Gaelic Warrior will be on the Gold Cup, leaving Jonbon as the new favourite

Horse Racing Selections – Cheltenham Day 4 including Gold Cup, Friday March 14, 2025

It’s Cheltenham Gold Cup day – arguably the biggest horse racing occasion of the year (depending on your view of the sport and whether you prefer jumps or flat racing!). We had Jagwar win for us yesterday but it was difficult again as the festival continues to provide some curious winners. Let’s try to make the most of day 4!

Cheltenham Day 4 – Selections

1.20 Hello Neighbour 11/2 each way (4 places)

2.00 Absurde 5/1 each way (5 places)

2.40 Shecouldbeanything 12/1 each way and Limerick Lace 7/1 each way

3.20 Intense Approach 16/1 each way (4 places) and Fishery Lane 33/1 each way (4 places)

4.00 (Gold Cup) Galopin Des Champs is the likely winner but way too short at 4/7 so we have to take him on…

Monty’s Star 10/1 each way

If you do back Galopin (would not deter this) – throw in as a multiple or look for a boosted odds deal

4.40 Angels Dawn 3/1 win

5.20 Absolute Rubik’s Cube of a race this one

For some reason Raglan Road keeps jumping out 33/1 each way (5 places) – go small here…

2.00 Springwell Bay 6/1 win

2.40 Feet of a Dancer 17/2 each way (6 places)

3.20 Djelo 12/1 each way

4.00 Lucky Price SP each way – missed the earlier lucky price!

Horse Racing Selections – Cheltenham Day 1! Tuesday March 11, 2025

We are here – Cheltenham Festival has arrived. Here are my selections for day one.

These are in addition to my ante-post picks…

Cheltenham Festival – Day 1

1.20 Kopek Des Bordes 10/11 win

2.00 Majborough 1/2 win

2.40 Crebilly 9/1 each way

3.20 Lossiemouth 3/4 win

4.00 Constitution Hill 7/10 win

4.40 Stencil 7/2 win

5.20 Transmission 9/2 each way (5 places)

I appreciate the odds on some of these are very short so you may want to mix and match with multiples…
