Welcome to the new Twister Tipster. Horse racing only, AI-powered, and starting from zero today. The full relaunch post explains the thinking — this one is about the racing.
It is a big day to start. Ascot is hosting the Shergar Cup, the team jockey competition where riders from GB & Ireland, Europe, Hong Kong and the Rest of the World go head-to-head across six races. Alongside that, Billy Loughnane — leading the flat jockeys championship with 93 winners and 11 clear of champion Oisin Murphy — is riding at Newmarket. Jockey storylines add an extra dimension to today’s card and they feed directly into our selections.
Graceful Song — Newmarket 1:55, 6/4, 2 pt win
A two-year-old filly trained by Charlie Appleby, unbeaten in one start and a course-and-distance winner last month when beating Somers Isles by two and a quarter lengths at 10-11 favourite on good to firm. The form franked, the clock was good, and she returns to identical conditions. The key angle: Billy Loughnane is in the saddle. He is 11 wins clear at the top of the flat jockeys championship and riding with the confidence of a man who knows what it takes to win a title race. Every winner counts in August.
Hoseki — Ascot 3:55, 15/8, 2 pt win
Trained by William Haggas and ridden by Saffie Osborne — who is carrying double motivation today, fighting for points in both the flat jockeys championship and the Shergar Cup for GB & Ireland. Hoseki has won three times this season and on her latest start beat Nochebuena by a short head over this course and distance on good to firm. She has won three times from 1m 2f to 1m 4f on good and good to firm ground and steps back onto her ideal surface. A horse in form, with a jockey who has every reason to be at her absolute best.
Level Look — Ascot 3:55, 11/1, 1 pt each way (3 places, 1/5 odds)
The each-way interest in the same race. Trained by Andrew Balding and ridden by Frida Valle Skar of the Europe Shergar Cup team, Level Look was second of seven at Chester last time, beaten one and a half lengths when sent off the 7-4 favourite. He has a win on the all-weather at this trip and the drop in market confidence looks overdone at 11/1 after a solid placed run. The Shergar Cup creates a genuine motivation for every jockey on the card today and Valle Skar will want to get Europe off to a strong start.
Ozat — Ascot 4:30, 7/2, 1 pt win
Ryan Moore takes the ride for Ian Williams. Moore is captaining GB & Ireland in the Shergar Cup and will not want to be on the wrong end of a result in a race his team needs to win. Ozat is rated 97 and has won four times from a mile to a mile and a furlong on varied ground. The Goodwood run last month was well below his best — beaten nine lengths at 18-1 — but that form was an outlier against a horse who had been much more competitive on similar marks. Moore at a major meeting with team pride on the line on a well-handicapped horse is a combination the analysis rates highly.

Nothing today – selections return tomorrow as part of the new service focused only on horse racing… see you then!

As said on Tuesday, no picks until Saturday when the new service begins with a sole focus on horse racing…

Something a little different from us today. Twister Tipster is relaunching this Saturday with a sharper, cleaner focus — and we wanted to be upfront about what that looks like going forward.
From Saturday, the service is horse racing only. The AI model has consistently been at its strongest on the flat and over jumps, and concentrating everything on racing gives us the best chance of doing this properly. That is the focus from here.
A few things that will be different about how we operate:
We will not be posting selections every day. This is a deliberate choice. The easiest thing in the world is to find something to fill a slot — the hardest is to only post a selection when something genuinely stands out. On days when the card does not throw up the right opportunity, we will post updates, general views on the racing, or nothing at all. Quality over volume, every time.
The goal is long-term profit. Not a winner a day, not a headline price — sustained, documented profit over a meaningful sample. That takes patience, discipline and a willingness to sit on hands when the right opportunity is not there. That is the approach from Saturday.
We are also expanding the scope beyond UK and Irish racing. The AI model will be looking at major meetings in the United States, France, Dubai, Australia and beyond when the opportunity is right. Big international racing often throws up the most interesting value, and we will be there when it does.
First selections drop Saturday. Subscribe and follow at http://twistertipster.substack.com so you do not miss them.
